Minnesota-Made European Windows: How VERMAK Builds in Coon Rapids

VERMAK is a Minnesota manufacturer of European-style uPVC windows and doors. Profiles come from GEALAN in Germany. Hardware comes from Winkhaus. Insulated glass is sourced from Cardinal. The units themselves are cut, welded, glazed, and hardware-fitted in the Twin Cities — currently from our Coon Rapids operation, with a dedicated 17,920-square-foot manufacturing building approved for Evergreen Business Park on Holly Street.

Not a reseller

A finished European window shipped from overseas is a different product than a unit fabricated here to a Minnesota rough opening. Local manufacturing means we control steel reinforcement, weld quality, glass package, and lead time. It also means a builder in Plymouth or a homeowner in Rochester is not waiting on an ocean container for a replacement sash.

What we put in every unit

• GEALAN multi-chamber uPVC profiles (S 8000 and LINEAR).

• Winkhaus multi-point hardware for tilt, turn, and locking.

• Cardinal insulated glass, including triple-pane and low-E packages suited to Northern Zone winters.

• Steel reinforcement in the main chamber so large sashes stay square.

Built for Minnesota winters

Compression seals, multi-chamber frames, and a proper glass package are how you keep heat in and condensation down at -20°F. That is the job these windows were designed for in Central and Northern Europe, and it is why we fabricate them here instead of asking a typical American slider to do the same work.
